3rd African ICT Best Practices Forum
From June 17th – 19th the 3rd African ICT Best Practices Forum will take place in Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso. This year the focus will be on Cyber Security To Build User Confidence in the Information Society Services in Africa. The pan-African Forum will provide the opportunity for participants to learn about the cyber security environment as well as build awareness of its challenges. The Forum is an initiative of Microsoft, organised in partnership with the Government of Burkina Faso with support from the European Union. ICWE is involved in the organisation of the event.

EU Projects in Favour of the ROMA community - Conference in Brussels
On March 10th - 11st, 2010 the Directorate-General for Education and Culture hosted a conference to discuss the involvement and impact of EU programmes with the Roma minority. More than 400 participants shared their experiences and expectations in a series of workshops, plenary sessions and networking breaks. The conference was accompanied by an exhibition of 21 selected projects. ICWE supported the organisation of the conference.

Kids Have Fun Learning Foreign Languages!
Check-out the practical tips and read expert opinions at the European Commissions website on Early Language Learning: piccolingo.europa.eu. Professionals and experts in the field can use the website for networking and to discuss projects. The website is part of the European Commission’s PICCOLINGO initiative, which promotes pre-school language learning for children from zero to six.
