ICWE is partner in several EU projects, its main role lies in PR and marketing, dissemination, creating sustainability and event logistics.

Kaleidoscope is the European research network shaping the scientific evolution of technology enhanced learning. It integrates the leading research teams in the field, who work collaboratively across educational, computer and social sciences to transform the quality and reach of the learning experience. Kaleidoscope fosters innovation and creativity through the development of new technologies, methodologies and concepts, defining the challenges and solutions for interdisciplinary research.

Kaleidoscope’s goal is to inform knowledge transfer between education, industry, and the wider society. Through its scientific programme, Kaleidoscope is helping to build a dynamic knowledge-based economy for Europe, engaging with social, economic and political stakeholders at all levels.

Kaleidoscope is supported by the European Community under the Information Society and Media Directorate-General, Content Directorate, Learning and Cultural Heritage Unit.

Project co-ordinator is FIST, S.A. - France Innovation Scientifique et transfert, Paris (France). There are over 90 partners in the network.

SPUTNIC is a one-year project supported by the European Commission under the Socrates, Accompanying Measures Programme. The project has started its activities in January 2007 and the project will run until the end of December 2007.

SPUTNIC aims at raising awareness about the beneficial impact of the (pedagogically sound) implementation of new educational technologies that enhance international networking and collaboration for an institution, its staff and its students.

SPUTNIC brings together the following partners: EuroPACE ivzw (Belgium), Catholic University of Leuven (Belgium), ICWE GmbH (Germany), The European Distance and E-Learning Network EDEN, Helsinki University of Technology, Lifelong Learning Institute Dipoli, Finland, Board of European Students of Technology (The Netherlands).

Being Mobile is an Accompanying Measure supported under the Socrates Programme of the European Commission (DG Education and Culture), which aims to raise awareness about how European cooperation in education can be heightened through Virtual Mobility.

Being Mobile was a one-year project running from December 2005 to December 2006. It was coordinated by EuroPACE (Belgium) and its partners were AtiT (Belgium), SPACE (Belgium), ICWE GmbH (Germany) and TietgenSkolen (Denmark).

More than 260 people from 35 countries took part in the Kaleidoscope Symposium held in Berlin on November 26 to 27. The Symposium brought together Europe’s leading scientists in the field of technology-enhanced learning with a diverse set of stakeholders including policy makers, industry representatives, and end-users.
