The third eLearning Africa conference on ICT for Development, Education and Training ended successfully on Friday, May 30th. 1502 eLearning users, newcomers, providers and experts from 83 countries gathered during the three conference days at the Accra International Conference Centre in Accra, Ghana. French is the "Language of Honour" at this year's Expolinguas. The 21st International Fair for Languages and Cultures will take place from November 14 - 16 in Berlin. About 140 exhibitors from more than 20 countries will be presented at the only international fair for languages and cultures in Europe's German-speaking countries. On November 7 - 8, Prague will host the 18th EXPOLINGUA Praha. The oldest exhibition of its kind in the Czech Republic, EXPOLINGUA Praha 2008 will again be a meeting place for exhibitors from numerous countries around the world, students and anybody interested in learning languages or studying abroad. Professional Language Training: From April 21 - 23, the 7th Languages and Business conference was held in Duesseldorf. The event attracted 251 participants from 15 countries. EU commissioner Leonard Orban, responsible for Multilingualism, hosted a business forum on corporate language training in conjunction with Languages & Business. Another Successful StudyWorld 2008: The international higher education fair ended on Saturday, April 26th. The two-day event welcomed 9,781 visitors at Berlin's Russisches Haus der Wissenschaft und Kultur. This year, 159 universities and training providers from 25 countries presented their programmes and services. The next StudyWorld will take place from May 15 - 16, 2009.
