New Campaign: EU Commission Promotes Early Language Learning
At the end of September 2009, the Directorate-General for Education and Culture (DG EAC) of the European Commission launched a new information campaign "Piccolingo", promoting early foreign language learning among pre-school children.
Piccolingo seeks to raise awareness among parents of children under the age of six in the 27 EU member states about the benefits of early language learning. What potential benefits are there for my child? What should I pay attention to? Where can I find support?
ICWE is involved in the dissemination activities including the organisation of special events, and establishing and maintaining media partnerships for the project from all over Europe.
