At eLearning Africa 2016, more than 1,000 education professionals, digital learning specialists, researchers, government ministers and officials, policy makers and edtech providers from 72 countries came together in Cairo, Egypt from May, 24th to 26th – the first time the event was held in North Africa. German Chancellor Merkel’s special representative joins ICWE for Africa breakfast

German Chancellor Angela Merkel’s special representative for Africa, Dr Günter Nooke, joined senior ICWE executives  at a breakfast meeting in Berlin in July to discuss technology and education in Africa. Dr Nooke, who also recently attended the eLearning Africa 2015 conference and ministerial round table in Addis Ababa, heads the German government’s initiative to develop cooperation and business with Africa.
